Hi,
I have a colleague who is struggling with a look up, if anyone has any ideas on how to evaluate...

Data
Job No Date
51 01.09.14
40 02.08.14
35 25.06.14

Summary:
Job No Latest Date
40 formula to return the latest date (ie 01.09.14)

Any assistance would be grately appreciated.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Is the latest date for 40 not 02/08/2014?

If so try:

=MAX(--($A$1:$A$3=40)*$B$1:$B$3)

Enter this via CNTL-SHIFT_ENTER as it's array formula.
