I'm looking for two formulas, the first would take all characters before the first space (=LEFT.....) The second to take data after the first space (=Right....)

I have a column of full names that I'm trying to separate into first and last

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
How about
Excel Formula:
=LEFT(A2,FIND(" ",A2&" ")-1)
=MID(A2,FIND(" ",A2&" ")+1,100)
