hi there - is there a limit on the amount of cells you can include in a range?
At the moment - i don't seem to be able to include more than 40 cells.

Does this sound right? or am i doing something terribly wrong :( :)

Excel Facts

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
sorry to clarify further - i mean with split cells (or rather) cells that are not next to eachother, eg, G5, G7, G9, G11, etc....

With this method - i seem to be restricted to only 40 cells.

as i formulas like:

sum(G5, G7, G9, G11...)

?...that's not a limitation re specification of ranges - rather, limit on number of arguments to the function.

What are you actually trying to do?

Perhaps if you specify what you intend to do with those cells, you may find another solution..
