I just found a problem while working on a sheet formed like this:

450104198708022012 1485.18 285.18 14.26
110104194804120038 2512.64 1312.64 106.26
450104198708022039 1435.48 235.48 11.77

The above three rows are only those that caused problems, "450104198708022012" and "450104198708022039" are identified as indentical to each other in sumif function. And I tried to input A1-A3, the result is 0. These are ID numbers and are formatted as text, are there something wrong or are there a limit to functions?

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
Yah, run into that before - which function is error-ing out? MATCH, perhaps?

Can you post the function in question?

I remember Aladin came up with a better workaround a few years ago, but I cannot remember/find it.
