Line Chart Hourly to Daily

I have massive amount of data that I am simply trying to put into a line chart but since the data is being pulled hourly my chart looks really goofy when I try and plot on a daily scale. The date is time stamped but the chart doesn't recognize that. The chart tries to plot all hourly data into one date set. I hope this makes sense.

What I want is a chart that shows the data and then the time stamp in the x axis.

Please HELP!

Right-click on the horizontal axis and select Format Axis.

Then change the axis type to Date axis and change the number category to Date.
