I am sure that there is a super simple solution, but I am drawing a complete blank...

I have my table set up like so:

Employee2020-05-012020-05-042020-05-05
employee1$100$75$125
employee2-$25$50$200

I would like to create a chart that has the employee names on the vertical axis on the left, dollar scale on the right vertical axis and the dates on the horizontal axis.

When I us the default line chart in Excel, it has the employees along the horizontal axis, dollar scale on the left vertical axis and the dates as 2 separate value lines.

I know I am going to kick myself when i hear the answer, but I have already pulled out what little hair I have left... TIA!

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
Why would you need the name on the Axis?
How would such a chart look like?

Doesn't this do?
- The legend is redundant, so can be deleted
- Left Axis is "High" so it appears at the right
- X-Axis is "Low" so it appears at the bottom (since there are negative values)
- First value is labelled, with the label on "Name"

Kind of you to say, Mr. Jon, coming from you that means a lot.

I hope the objective gets clarified by the OP. It is often hard for people to express their need, so they express a "want". Guessing for the moment.

I'm sure you would be asking critical questions I'm far from thinking about. The blog discussion you sometimes have with Chandoo or Jorge are beyond my comprehension. It made me realize charting and data visualization is truly a metier (pardon my French). The level of elements and details you all spot and consider are so insightful it may hurt the heart fainted. It has made me a better professional. #Grateful.

It's the difference between being familiar with something, and being immersed in it. You see things, you remember things, and you know things.
