It's official, I’m lost!!

I have a worksheet(checklist) that links to (copylist). I’ve tried to conditional format copylist b2:b21 so if the cell is blank, the text in the cell to the right will not be visible or print. IT’S NOT WORKING!

When I double click on checklist b8, it puts “P” which becomes a checkmark. A checkmark also appears on copylist b2. Nothing happens after that.

Below is a part of copylist sheet.

Any and all help is so greatly appreciated!!!

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
Why don't you insert
in B2: "=IF(A2="P","APPLICATION(S) (Please keep for your records)","")
in B3: "=IF(A3="P","APPLICATION(S) (Please sign by red arrow and return)","")
and so on ...

Your "applications...etc" text is in Column C right?

To hide with conditional formatting highlight C1 down as far as you need and conditional format with

Formula is

=B1=""

select white font

This will ensure that cells in column C appear to be blank if B is blank

Love and hate

Okay, I love and hate you guys at the same time.

Both of your suggestions work!
My problem is you both did it so fast and made it look so easy.
I spent hours looking thur this site and trying to make it work on my own!!!!!

On the love side, Thanks so much for your help. I would have spent so much more time trying to make this work. Thanks doesn't seem like much.

I really appreciate your help.

Vickie
