hello all.

Im trying to find a way to link cell value into a text box search i have created.

i created a price list containing Part numbers, description , gross price etc for 11K parts, all in one sheet , and in the top of the sheet i created a auto-complete search engine.

now, i have 5-6 more sheets with top selling parts per mode which i want to connect to to that search text box upon clicking a value out of those top selling sheets.

so say that i have a sheet pert model with 50 more parts that i want to connect into the search box.

any suggestions ?

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
You could create an event macro. This will run a code when you double click on a cell.

*Needs to be added to the worksheet, not in a module

VBA Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_BeforeDoubleClick(ByVal Target As Range, Cancel As Boolean)
If Not Application.Intersect(Target, Range("C40")) Is Nothing Then 'Change C40 to the range they can select from eg.A1:B30
'your code here
    End If
End Sub

i didnt quiet understand what you are suggesting.
in any case i thought about hyper links with vlookup attached to each top selling part number - problem : more then 100 parts...

I was referring to " i want to connect to to that search text box upon clicking a value out of those top selling sheets. ". I didn't consider you'd use a hyperlink.

If you're considering lookups and hyperlinks maybe this isn't required though.

Do you have some example data and your desired result?
