Link to Values and Formatting

I'm looking for a way to link a cell or group of cells both to the values of another cell/range and to the formatting of that cell/range. For instance, in cell A1 I have the formula =N10 so that the value in cell A1 changes as cell N10 is updated. How can I also get the formatting in cell A1 to change as the formatting in cell N10 changes?

Thank you for any help you can offer on this.

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
In reguards to formatting, do you want the fonts to be the same or color or what property do you want changed based on values.

I was hoping for all the formatting (borders, colors, fonts, etc.). Does that answer your question?
