Hi there,

I have an excel file linking rows from other excels files.

These other excel files contain cells which have multiple colours in the cell.

For example:

Workdays 20
Holidays 10
Sick days 5

When I link these cells into my excel file, the data is linked, but the colours are lost resulting in:

Workdays 20
Holidays 10
Sick days 5

Is there a way to link the colours also?

Thanks for your help,

Paul

Sorry, no. A formula can only return a value. It can't format a cell.

You may be able to use conditional formatting with the same conditions in both cells.

Thanks very much for the information. However, in my example, all of the text is in one cell on the original sheet. Using the conditional formatting, there is no option for Cell contains "Holiday" for example.

Any other suggestions?
