I've linked a Sharepoint list as my source of data in an Excel file. Whenever I "refresh all", I get an error message saying "Reference is not valid."

I've changed nothing about the file or with the source on Sharepoint, so I don't understand what's going on.

Here are the steps I used to create the link:

  1. In Sharepoint, I'm viewing my list and I go to "Export to Excel".
  2. When prompted, I save the query to my hard drive, then I open it.
  3. I configured it to go into my worksheet on a specific cell and click OK.

The data comes in fine, but this error is concerning.

Any suggestions?

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
I just now noticed that I don't get the error message when I right-click on the table in my worksheet and select "Refresh". Why would this make a difference?
