Hi,

i have two breakeven charts on a sheet one above the other. Both have number of months on X Axis. these are line charts of 1) revenue and expenses and 2) profit and show the breakeven point. These are dynamic charts and BE points change as the user changes variables in the excel file. BE point on both chart always remain identical.

I would like to draw a dotted line from BE in one chart to the BE in the other chart. And the line will shift as the BE changes due to new input by the user.

Any way of doing this?

Thank you

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
I think this is possible by adding an additional data point for the chart where it dynamically seeks the EQ point (by formula), and by using combo chart you can give it Bar type and format it to be dotted.

I hope my suggestion makes sense

Great idea. it works great for a single chart. However, i have two separate charts so what i did was to improvise based on your suggestion and add a third big chart behind the first two. The third one has the same scale on X axis as the other two with a big 100% bar. this bar is linked with the break even points in the other two and therefore look to be right behind the relevant points on the main two charts.

thanks for the idea!
