Hi all,

I have a problem with linking a cell between two worksheet with some formulas involved.

On Sheet 3, I have a formula in D4 that is dependent on the result in C4.

Before linking the B3 cell from another worksheet 'Sheet 2', the formula works fine when I manually input numbers into C4.

However, when I tried to link B3 cell from 'Sheet 2' to the C4 cell in 'Sheet 3', this is when the problem comes in.

Cell D4 no longer able to show 'pending' anymore if B3 cell is blank. It automatically show up as failed.

How can I fix this? So If my B3 cell in 'Sheet 2' is empty, I want C4 in 'Sheet 3' to remain empty rather than automatically filling that with the invisible 0.

Thanks all

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
If you look at the formula you posted, you are linking cell B3 from Sheet3, not Sheet2.
Perhaps that is your issue, maybe you typed in the wrong sheet number in your formula?
