Linking cells problem

Hi I know how to link cell's

Sheet1 cell A5 linked to sheet2 A5 by using ='Sheet2!A5

the problem I have is that some of the cells on sheet2 do not contain data but sheet 1 is returing a 0

Hi, try something like

=IF(LEN('Sheet2'!A5=0),"",'Sheet2'!A5)

If you don't want it to return anything when the target cell does not contain data, you could wrap the formula in an IF statement:

=IF('Sheet2!A5="","",'Sheet2!A5)
