Hi all

I'm a first timer to this forum and rather an amateur at Excel. I was wondering if there was a way to link data in Excel via "button" or a some other link so that if some one clicks on that cell it will redirect to another cell. For example if I put an organizational chart in a range of cells is there way to link one of the boxes in the chart to a group of cells. Thus is some one clicked on "Event Infrastructure" on sheet 1, it would take automoatically take them to the data related to that on sheet 4. Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Hi Leon

Welcome to the Board!

You can use Hyperlinks for this purpose - if you click on the cell containing "Event Infrastructure" on Sheet1 and go Insert>Hyperlinks you'll want "Place in this document" selected on the left and then choose the right sheet and type in the desired range on the right. This will insert an underlined blue hyperlink in the cell and will display whatever text you have set in the hyperlink dialog. Giveit a whirl and post back if you get stuck.

Thanks Richard, although unfortunately for the text that I type in the charts itself (i.e. a "smart art" chart, or organizational chart) it won't let me insert a hyperlink linking it to another sheet. I guess that it becuase it is a graphic and thus does not actually fall into a paricular range of cells? When I tried to insert a hyperlink into the text box of the chart in was shaded out. So I am just going to make a Index next to the chart unless you know of another way? Thanks again for the tip though
