Linking Information in Cells

Hi -

I'm creating a spreadsheet and my goal is to enter an employee's name into a cell (via typing or w/a drop down option) and have their corresponding manager's name be produced in the cell immediately to the right. So my question is - How do I type in "Bonnie B." (employee) and produce "Clyde B." (manager) automatically, having it appear beside "Bonnie B." in the next column's cell. Hints, forumulas, tips, suggestions? Possible?

Try creating a lookup table of employees and managers then using VLOOKUP http://www.contextures.com/xlFunctions02.html
