Sorry in advance for the remedial question:

I want to create a master.xls with tabs for each site I have (Site 1, Site 2, Site 3, ect), where each tab represents all the contents of the Site.xls (1 worksheet only).

Whenever I update the Site 1.xls or the Site 2.xls, it will update the respective contents of the master.xls file.

I am able to do this: =IF('[Site1.xls]Site 1'!A1="","",'[Site1.xls]Site 1'!A1) , but what I'm looking for is - can I set it up to update both ways? What I mean is - if I update the Site 1.xls it will update the Master.xls, or if I update the Master.xls it will reflect on the Site 1.xls?

Thank you very much for all your help.

PS> I searched the archives and couldn't find an answer and I have Excel 2003

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
What you are trying to do is called circle referencing and it is not possible. You need to be able to pull the info from somewhere and with the spreadsheets referencing each other, it will not have any info to display.
