hey there,

i have a database called "master" where other folk link to one my the tables master.[tbl_id].

how do i lock the master.mdb so that other cannot make changes to it. for example, if i have my tbl_id open on my pc and another person who has tbl_id linked to their database, it automatically changes my tbl_id on the master.mdb when they alter the linked tbl.

thanks

The only way that I can think of now is to rename the Master Table to something different temporarily as soon as you open your Database first. The other party cannot get access to your data.
