Hi
Thanks in advance for the help with this. It's driving me crazy.
I'm having a problem linking my named ranges in an Excel worksheet to PowerPoint.
I select the named range in Excel
Copy it
Switch to PowerPoint
Double-click into a Chart
Click Edit > Paste Link > Ok.
This is when the problem occurs, as no data appears in the datasheet of my chart.
While the chart is still open, if I choose
Edit > Links > Change Source,
I can see that the link pasted across is not !test (the name of my named range), it's !Sheet1!R1C1:R4C5Test i.e. it has pasted the absolute cell references and the name of the named range after it. This is causing the problem.
A similar problem occurs when I try to link some cells in the Excel sheet to a textbox in PowerPoint. The name of the named range does not come up; just the absolute cell reference !Sheet1!R1C1:R4C5
This is driving me up the wall and threatens to ruin a couple of days of work that I've done.
If anyone can help me with this, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
