Is there a way to link workbook files so that workbook A (the master) feeds into workbook 1 & 2 without workbook A always having to be open so you can see the data in workbook 1 & 2? We want to enter the data in the master and have select daily data put into workbook 1 and weekly data put into workbook 2. I can get them linked, but in order to see the data in workbooks 1 & 2 you have to have the master open or you get an error. I'm trying to determine whether Excel is the program to do this with or if Access would be better. Does anyone have any experience with this that they can/will share?

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
You don't have to have WB A open to have the links work. Maybe your Security settings need adjusting
Choose File - Options - Trust Center - Trust Center Settings - External Content - Security Settings for Workbook Links
