Hi,
Tried Googling but just found "Launch Excel 2003 and access the "Forms" toolbar"
I can't find the Forms toolbar! (I did find UserForms but that's greyed out)

Could someone let me know how to get a single column listbox (or a listview control) onto a worksheet. I want to populate it from VBA.
I initially thought a Msgbox would work, but there's too many rows to show (so I'd need to scroll).
Thanks for any help.

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Right click the toolbar & select Forms, that should bring the forms toolbar up.

Success. Thanks for the replies. Found the Forms toolbar, but the listbox looked like it could only be populated with data in the sheet.
Yes, userform is the way to go but interested in trying a control directly onto the worksheet, just to see.
The Userform lets me add a Listbox too, which gives a much nicer look all round.

That copy of Excel you are nursing will soon be going up in value - it is almost an antique! :ROFLMAO:
Glad you have made some progress and thanks for the feedback

I've never used a listbox on the sheet, so not sure what you can or can't do with them
I've always used userforms.

When I said Listbox, sorry I meant ListView.
I bought Office 2010 but never use it.. thought I would (and I was worried about Office going to a subscription model) but the UI is so different and
disconcerting when trying to code something. LOL I still use XP too. Win 10 sits beside me, usually with a wee round cursor making you wait every time you do anything. Blow that !
(That of course, is when it's not turning itself off, updating)

Is it a ListView or a Listbox you want?

If it's the former than as far as I'm aware there is no Forms ListView, however you can add an ActiveX ListView from the ActiveX toolbox by selecting More Controls...

I wanted to what a Listbox looked like on the worksheet.
Maybe that would have been sufficient, but as it turned out the ListView control on a Userform was perfect. I did have to use toolbox "More Controls" but
unsure if it is "ActiveX" (not that I know really what ActiveX is !)
