Little Help with Macro

I am finishing the end of a macro and am having a couple of problems. Everything is fine upto this point

....
Range("a6000").Select
ActiveCell.End(xlUp).Select
lastrow = ActiveCell.Row

I need the active cell to move down one row.

Once it goes down one row, I need to select the range from that cell to row 3000.

Any Suggestions. I do not know a lot of VB, I have made macros from bits and pieces from postings on this website.

Thanks for all your help.

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.

Thanks Zacemmel

I figured out how to move the cell down
ActiveCell.Offset(1, 0).Activate
and was working on selecting the range.

Thanks

Parra, altough your code works, keep in mind that it's almost always unnecesary to select / activate objects in order to work with them.

Thanks Juan

I am learning as I go.

I do plan to take some VB classes as soon as I am done with the classes that focus on my major, Finance.
