Hi all,
-Using excel 2007-
To try somethnig out; I created an external link to a textfile (let's call it example.TAB) several times and deleted it several times. The first query name Excel created was "example", the second "example_1" and so on...
Now that I am done testing, I am trying to delete all built up query remains and finally connect to "example":
In doing this I have deleted all queries and range names so I could add the final query (of which the name must be "example"). To test if all QueryTables were deleted, I took a little macro from the internet to check the number of existing queries in the worksheet and this is now 0
by: MsgBox ActiveSheet.QueryTables.Count
BUT... still on creating the query, excel gives the notion "query name allready exists in the worksheet...."
Does anyone have a solution how to delete ALL remaining query information, names etc? Is there a difference between QueryTables and the query that I create when linking to a .TAB file?
