Good morning, I have a need to combine two excel sheets which have duplicate entries, The second sheet contains some unique entries. I need to locate duplicates and remove both, thereby only leaving the entities that only appear once. I have three columns = A = Date, B = Amount, C = Reference. Essentially, I am doing an account reconciliation and need to identify only the unique entries that exist when I combine both excel sheets. This allows me to update accounting package with the unique entries that remain. Hope this makes sense. Any advice would be appreciated.

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
You can use the "Remove Duplicates" feature in Excel to locate and remove the duplicates. First, combine the two sheets into one, then select the entire data range, including column headers. Go to the "Data" tab, click on "Remove Duplicates," and select the columns that contain the duplicate entries (in your case, columns A, B, and C). This will remove all duplicate entries, leaving only the unique ones. You can then update your accounting package with the remaining unique entries.
