I have a price worksheet with drop down menus. the salespeople can fill in all data necessary and it will calculate pricing and sales tax etc. the problem is that they can also change fornulas by typing over a formula. how do you protect certain cells but still allow functionality

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Select the cells that can be changed, Format > Cells > Protection tab. Untick Locked. Then Tools > Protection > Protect Sheet.
