If you have XL2003, you can go to tools - protection - protect sheet. and put a check in "Select Locked Cells", enter a password if you like, then click OK.
Thanks, I know how to protect a cell,I think I was not clear. If you select locked cells then the cursor jumps over the cell. How can I lock a cell , protect it, but still be able to move the cursor over it. ? Makes sense?
