I apologize for my inexperience with excel.

I am trying to create either macro or formula that will allow me to input data into one cell (A1) and in another cell (B1) spit out Found or Not Found.
The data in A1 is to be a serial number and B1 will validate if that serial is on the other Tab that has the master data.

I would like to have a formula or macro that will search the entire "master data" tab for the serial in A1 to validate if it is accurately input or exists.

Does this make sense?

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
