Lookup tables!! Please!!! 43 views and NO help!!!!
I have an assignment that I have been trying to figure out and hope that someone may be able to help me with it. In the instructions it tells me in the range A2:B6, create a lookup table for the range of grades specified.
0 to 49=F
50-59=D
60-74=C
75-89=B
90-100=A

Each grade should be matched up with the lowest score possible.
If someone can please help me.

Thanks for taking the time!!!

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Welcome to the Board!

Something like this:
Book4
ABCD
1Number GradeLetter GradeLookupGrade
20F100A
350D
460C
575B
690A
Sheet1

Hope that helps,

But how to I get there. I just dont understand the VLOOKUP at all. I go to insert and then function, VLOOKUP and then a box comes up. Where do I go from there?

The formula in D2 is =LOOKUP(C2,A2:B6)

Just copy it.

The helpfile gives a good explanation of how Lookup & Vlookup work.
