I'm looking for the max number in a range that has blank cells and zeros. when I use the =MAX() function it gives me an error. How do I fix this problem?

<TABLE style="WIDTH: 48pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=64 border=0><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 48pt" width=64><TBODY><TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20><TD class=xl65 style="BORDER-RIGHT: #ebe9ed; BORDER-TOP: #ebe9ed; BORDER-LEFT: #ebe9ed; WIDTH: 48pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: #ebe9ed; HEIGHT: 15pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" align=middle width=64 height=20>#DIV/0!</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>is what I get when I use this function

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
One method would be to change the cell in the data range that is dividing by zero.
Another would be to use this CSE formula
=MAX(IF(ISNUMBER(C3:C12),C3:C12))

This needs to be confirmed with Ctrl-Shift-Enter (Cmd+Return for Mac)
