Looking in a table matching result

I want to do following in formula
if in cell A1 person selects a,b,c,d for example "b"
in cell b1 they post a result for example "6"
cells c will result 20% which is the highest achieved result for b
I've done this before and suddenly got brain fog, pretty sure I used offset or index with match. But running in circles right now trying to rememeber how. Don't ever get old. OR at least keep notes. Good notes or files.

10% 20% 30%
a 4 7 8
b 3 5 20
c 6 8 30
d 8 20 40

Figured out a way indexing a match to an offsetted named range. I probably could have used offset in formula.
Still if there is an easier way please post.
