Hi fellow excel users, I am trying to do a lookup between two tables in which I need to lookup on 2 criteria, to identify the items as individual.

Is there a way that I can do a vlookup or some other king of lookup which say if x and y = a and b give me cell j

Thanks

For an sbstract spec, an abstract answer...

=INDEX(Jrange,MATCH(1,IF(Xrange=a,IF(Yrange=b,1)),0))

which must be confirmed with control+shift+enter, not with enter.
