Hello. I have posted two posts with no responses, so maybe I worded what I need help on where it didn't make sense, so reposting. :)

I have 3 worksheets. Two of them have data. the data is comprised of id's that are made up of numbers.
Anyhow, on the main sheet, I need to enter a formula that looks for the persons name in a column, then goes out and looks on the tabs and on one tab to see if the ID number is present there and compare or match to the other tab with IDs. Then ulimately produce a # of times the ID is duplicated.

I have over 5000 IDs to match for the names so I can't just compare them.

What would this formula be?

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Yeah that formula is way to complicated for me to understand in regards to what should really go in my formulas.
