Lookup / population Help

Hi all:

I am sort of new to Access, more of an Excel person, but I am not sure how to do this probably basic issue.

For this question, see the image below.

I have 2 tables, one, the table pictured below, and the second table, which has fields (part number, description, price). When the data is imported, I would like the description to auto-populate. Can this be done? Is this done with Lookup, or something more in VB which I am not sure of.

Can anyone provide an insight of what I need to do and how to do it? Thanks for any help going forward.

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Hi Bradley,

The simple answer is you don't need to. You have the data in a table already. When you need it you can pull it in with a query.
