Lookup Q, need help pls

First, let me say that I have tried to use vlookup, lookup, index & match with no luck. But, I freely admit that I am an Excel intermediate at best.

Problem: I have a spreadsheet tab with three collumns of data and another tab with two collums of data. I need to lookup the third collumn, but the rows must line up.

The Siloms number for the first row of Tab2 should be 167

  • B2 = 3
Enter this array formula** in C2:

=INDEX('Tab1'!C$2:C$15,MATCH(1,IF('Tab1'!A$2:A$15=A2,IF('Tab1'!B$2:B$15=B2,1)),0))

** array formulas need to be entered using the key combination of CTRL,SHIFT,ENTER (not just ENTER). Hold down both the CTRL key and the SHIFT key then hit ENTER.

Copy down as needed.
