Lookup that repeats rows before looking up next value

In 'TABLE'!$B2 I need a formula that returns the value from a list beginning in 'LIST_SORT'!$D2 - but then repeats that selection for 3 consecutive rows before looking up 'LIST_SORT'!$D3 as I pull the formula down through column 'TABLE'!$B:$B.

My list starting in 'LIST_SORT'!$D2
ALAN
BILL
CHARLIE

becomes
ALAN
ALAN
ALAN
BILL
BILL
BILL
CHARLIE
CHARLIE
CHARLIE
