Lookup values and subtract if

I have a folder with many workbooks that are all similar. I would like to know if it is possible to search for data and copy that data if it meets a certain requirement. For example, can I search a certain cell in all workbooks and copy the data if a cell in my current worksheet minus the cell in the other worksheet is < 1. This may be kind of confusing. Thanks for any help.
