Hello,

I've got a worksheet that is stored on a network. In the sheet is a bunch of listings of projects, all of which have hyperlinks to a .PDF file on the network. When the sheet is closed on reopened, the links seem to get lost. Does anyone have any idea on why this is happening and how to fix it?

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
how are the hyperlinks being created?

1. By right-clicking the cell and adding a link
2. Using the hyperlink() function.

If the first option, here is the proper way to do it:

Here's another possibility:

(Partial quote from above: i figured out that the problem was that he had the excel file saved in a folder on a network drive, and had the files that he was linking to on the same drive, but had mapped another drive directly to the folder and the problem seemed to happen when he opened the file from the second mapped drive, i think this was causing problems)

btw, all the above was located by searching for "excel hyperlink" in Yahoo.

Thanks for the help nbrcrunch. I'd tried googling a more complete phase and got nothing but ads or unrelated issues. I'll have to wait until Monday and try hopping on the network and seeing if I'm able to get it running!
