Hi

I have 2 workbooks, 1 which is for a current month summary on various activities, the 2nd has info on year to date. What I want to do is to be able to keep data and charts in the YTD workbook then have a smaller MTD version to circulate, this works fine, however I want to copy an 'August' chart from the YTD to MTD which will update, this also works ok, except that one of the series in the data table is a percentage. I lose the formatting unless the source workbook is open, which it won't be when others open it. So 80% which appear in the data table as 0.80. Does anyone now a way where this formatting can be preserved in the data table without the source workbook being open?

Many thanks

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Hi Bazza1974. welcome to the forums!

If you are talking about a table that is part of a Chart (graph), they are notorious for their lack of functionality.

I would recommend putting the chart in a worksheet and use the cells in the worksheet below the chart to mimic an excel table added to the chart.

Hope this helps!
