new to board. need help on this

occasionally i lose my horizontal and verticle scroll bars
i am using windows xp
i have two monitors running and may have two workbooks open at a time.
what happens is, sometimes i am moving the pointer across the screens so fast to get to a cell, and i'm not sure if i r/cliked, l/cliked, turned wheel, or clicked the wheel accidently when moving. but the scroll bars dissapear and the only way to move on the spreedsheet is with the arrow keys.
if i close the workbook and reopen it, the scroll bars are back and fuctional.

thanks for the help

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Welcome to MrExcel Board!

Did you try just maximizing the window?

Or perhaps try to turn the scroll bars on manually from, Tools, Options, View tab, Window Options, check Horizontal Scroll Bar and Vertical Scroll Bar.

Hope that helps!
