Lost the letter and number headings

Hi,

Working on a previously existing spreadsheet that does not show the grey letter headings and number headings... the ones I use to change column width... Not sure what they are called - almost the equivalent of "ruler" in Word.

How do I get them back?

Sounds like your headings are turned off.

In 2007 >> View tab >> Headings

JeffreyBrown - I like your thinking... any idea how to access that in 2003 version?

I don't have 2003 here, but if you look for the Excel Options there should be a checkbox under the advanced tab >> Display options for this worksheet >> show rows and column hearders.
