Macro assigned buttons in Excel

I had a .xlsm file with many buttons in it, all of which were assigned to different macros. These buttons all worked fine when I was on a computer with Excel 2010 the other day. But today, I am on a computer with Excel 97-03 and I just saved this .xlsm file using this computer. However, now all the buttons have turned into images (no link to macros). Does anyone have an idea of why this sort of thing may be happening?

Thanks

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
2003 ran on a different version of VBA, so the code may not work. I wrote a workbook in 2010 not too long ago and then tried to run it on a 97 - 03 version and it didn't work. I had to go into the code on the 2003 workstation and fix the code any type it stopped.
