Hi
The simple macro below works fine but asks to overwrite, which in this instance is an unnecessary delay.

I will use this macro 100s if not 1000s of times so would really like to solve this issue.
Any help really appreciated

Code:
Sub savepreset()
'
' savepreset Macro
'

'
    ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:= _
        "C:\Users\paul\Documents\Excel Scripts\FX\default.dff", _
        FileFormat:=xlTextMSDOS, CreateBackup:=False
End Sub

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Hi thanks for your quick reply
Could you give some hints on where this should be placed in the code.
I have tried several positions and its not compiling, any help appreciated.

Hi
Thanks again for your help, i found that if placed just before the "ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:=" line it works perfectly.

Just in case it helps others in the future.
My Macro now looks like this and doesn't prompt for a save over an existing file, which is my desired affect.

Code:
Sub savepreset()
'
' savepreset Macro
'

'
    [FONT=Verdana]Application.DisplayAlerts = False[/FONT]
    ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:= _
        "C:\Users\paul\Documents\Excel Scripts\FX\default.dff", _
        FileFormat:=xlTextMSDOS, CreateBackup:=False
End Sub
