I need to assign a macro to a button. Problem is I can't make a button.
All ther "Forms" are greyed out so I can't select them.

THis is Office 2003 I am working with BTW.

After I get the button made I need to copy this workbook over the network to a different machine. I do not want the Error/Warning box to appear that say Enable/Disable Macros, etc. Isn't there someway to tell the pc to accept any excel files that contain macros that I create without prompting?
I know there's a way to set the security level to Low but I would rather not do that. I see where it lists Trusted Publishers but I don't know how to add myself to it?
THanks

Looks like you got a few questions working here:

Regarding creating a button
If you Right Click in the menu area, and select Forms, are they ALL greyed out, or just some of them?
Is your worksheet protected?

Regarding the Macro Warning Box
You can digitally sign your macros. Then, once a workstation accepts your signature as a "Trusted Source", it will no longer ask for confirmation on any worksbooks with macros signed by you. Check out this link for details:

If any of the cells in your worksheet is in EDIT mode, then many of the icons will be greyed out. So check whether any cell is in the EDIT mode.
You can also make use of AUTOSHAPES to assign a macro.
You cannot lower thesecurity level of a machine through code, (or it is believed so).

You were correct jm14. My sheet was locked.

Now on to the digital signature thing. I'll read over that link and hopefully be able to get it working properly.

Thanks.
