I need a macro for searching the data in particular sheet and then update the data in macro screen

For eg.
I have one Document Control Register containing all documents list with the revision of the documents
First Rev 01 is updated than Rev 02 than Rev 03 and so on

So I need to update the revision tracking dates as and when required by using Macro

Please help to give me code

Thanks

Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
if doc3 goes from rev3 to rev4 today - how will the macro be involved - or are you storing new revisions for say a week then updating the master register..

Thanks for your reply

Whenever I search a document in a sheet a small window should open which should show me the latest revision and other details of that document. Then I should be able to update the revision and other details (column wise) of that document

Other details like document title, revision, date of submission, date of resubmission and so on

Please help
