I have a macro I have created for a button on my toolbar. It only works when I open that workbook. How can I move this or create a macro that works all the time?

Thank You,
Michael

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Put it in Personal.XLS. Then it will be available to all workbooks.

If you don't have one yet, record a macro (doing anything) and store it in "Personal Macro Workbook", then drag your existing macro into that.

How do I "Store it in Personal Macro Workbook"??
Do I need to open a new workbook and name it Personal.xls ????
I created the macro... Now how do I save it?? Under File I see options to, import, export, Save Book2, etc. etc.

Thank You for your quick response,
Michael

When you go to Tools-->Macro-->Record New Macro you'll see an option to "Store macro in:".

Select "Personal Macro Workbook". That will create "Personal.XLS". Then with your other wb open, in the VBE, drag the module to Personal.XLS.
