Macro/Filter/Merged Cells

I have a table with merged cells in the headings (3 rows) and have the filter boxes in the bottom row of cells - that's the easy bit.

I want to link a macro to the data and this works fine when the filters are cleared, but not when filters are on.

What is the vba to clear all filters?

I can remove the filters but when they are reapplied they always set in the top row and this causes other problems.
