This is the code i have...

Public Sub Retrieve_Sales()

OldRegion = Range("C2").Value
NewRegion = Range("D21").Value

Application.StatusBar = "Getting data on " & NewRegion

Range("A1:F19").Replace "OldRegion", "NewRegion"

Application.StatusBar = "False"
End Sub

The macro is assigned to a button named Retrieve Sales. It doesn't work. Where is my error?

Try removing the quotes from around "OldRegion" and "NewRegion" in your Replace code. It will be looking for the word "OldRegion" and not the contents of the variable called OldRegion

Range("A1:F19").Replace OldRegion, NewRegion

Similarly, should False also be without quotes ?

Application.StatusBar = False
