I have written a macro that goes down a column reading each cell and carrying out a specific action. Is there a way that I can make the macro sensitive to the color of the cell so that if it is one color it carries out one function and if it is another color, it carries out a different function?

Thanks,

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Well, having written some code I may as well post it :)

Code:
Sub test()
Dim i As Byte
For i = 1 To 10
    Select Case Range("A" & i).Interior.ColorIndex
        Case 3
            MsgBox "Cell A" & i & " is red"
        Case 4
            MsgBox "Cell A" & i & " is green"
        Case 5
            MsgBox "Cell A" & i & " is blue"
    End Select
Next i
End Sub
