I know it can be done manually by sorting
But I want a macro so it can be done by the click of one button
This operation is done many times

Prior to me posting this here I tried what you suggested but
all I came up with was the manual sort solution
That's why I came here.

That's fine.
Hopefully, one of those links should give you what you need. Some of that code is written by some real Excel masters, who are much more knowledgeable than I. Any code I could come up with would pale in comparison to theirs.
