Macro on Sheet1 screws up answers to averageifs on Sheet 2

I don't know why when I run my macro, it screws up the column choices on a bunch of averageifs on Sheet 2.

I have raw data that my macro handles (cleans up, formatting, etc) and then I take that data to use on Sheet 2.

Sheet 2 has a table populated from averageifs, and the ranges for that table come from sheet 1 after the macro is performed.
Was working GREAT, but when I did it from a new dataset by copying a new set of raw data onto sheet 1...followed by the macro...the macro part looks great, but the sheet 2 table is using the correct column choices. Using $ in the averageifs column choices didn't help, and neither did protect sheet/cells

If I open a separate excel file with raw data, run the macro, and then copy/paste that result on to sheet 1, all is fine.

why is the macro messing with the crap on sheet 2 :(

any ideas?

TIA

Amanda
